Description

  • Overdose of sulfonylureas (glipizide, gliclazide) or insulin -> prolonged, severe hypoglycaemia
  • Metformin overdose -> rarely hypoglycaemic alone; risk is metformin-associated lactic acidosis (MALA), especially with renal impairment
  • SGLT2 inhibitors -> euglycaemic DKA risk (not classic overdose toxicity)
